gE

The gEARbox Ensemble is a music ensemble that specializes in performing contemporary music including: acoustic, electro-acoustic, electronic, and telematic. The group has a flexible instrumentation to allow for performances ranging from solo to large ensemble. One of the gE’s main goals is to commission and premiere works (especially for percussion and electronics) by both established and emerging composers. Dr. Brad Meyer (Visiting Instructor of Percussion at Centre College) and Dr. Timothy Polashek (Coordinator of the Music Technology Program and Professor of Music at Transylvania Univeristy) make up the founding members of the gE.
